pvx energy was founded by two experienced solar entrepreneurs who have helped shape the development and realisation of photovoltaics in Germany since 1992 – from the first installations to large-scale power plants.
We work independently of large utilities. Alongside fully-owned projects, we realise ventures in a network with other mid-sized solar companies – reliable, long-term, as equals.
Milestones.
- 1992 The beginning The founders enter the solar business – pioneering photovoltaics in Germany.
- 2011 Five parks online Brandenburg-Briest (91 MWp), Lüptitz, Holzweißig, Wallhausen and Eberswalde are commissioned.
- 2014 Sonneberg Commissioning of the Sonneberg solar farm (2 MWp).
- 2018–2020 Extensions Lüptitz II and Holzweißig are expanded – 129 MWp in the portfolio.
- Today Halenbeck-Rohlsdorf 230 MW solar park with battery storage under construction – without subsidies.

Solar farms that benefit biodiversity.
Our ground-mounted plants use no pesticides or fertilisers, and they are quiet – biodiversity demonstrably increases. Targeted measures such as hedges, flowering areas and accompanying research add to this effect, most recently in the biodiversity concept of Sonnenpark Halenbeck-Rohlsdorf.
